UPDF Generals match to honor Muhoozi’s birthday ends 3-1 in favor of MPs

Organizer of the event Micheal Nuwagira Kaguta, an uncle to Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba and chairperson of the Team MK project said the event was a huge success and showed many more people have solidarity with Gen Muhoozi.

Micheal Nuwagira Kaguta handover medals to MPS at Lugogo

UPDF Generals, led by the Chief of Defense Forces Gen Wilson Mbasu Mbadi have been left thumped by Members of Parliament in a 3-1 match meant to supplement the celebrations of General Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s 48th birthday.

The match held at the Phillip Omondi stadium in Lugogo on Friday brought together a number of Top UPDF administrators brought MPs and Soldiers together for the first time in a while.

Organizer of the event Micheal Nuwagira Kaguta, an uncle to Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba and chairperson of the Team MK project said the event was a huge success and showed many more people have solidarity with Gen Muhoozi.

Gen Mbasu Mbadi, the UPDF captain scored the only goal UPDF had while Hon Peter Ogwang and Sanon Bwire scored the three parliamentary goals.

The Match was organized on request by MPs Lilian Aber (Kitgum DWP) and Kasambya County MP David Kabanda to mark the Gen Muhoozi birthday.

The match also drew Ministers such as Hamson Obua, FUFA president Moses Magogo to a fascinating workout by the leaders. Also UPDF Generals James Birungi, peter Elwelu, Leopald Kyanda participated in the games.

Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, on April 23rd celebrated his 48th birthday in a lavish party held at the cricket oval in Lugogo and a later luncheon organized by State House, whose occupants are Muhoozi’s parents, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and Janet Kataha Museveni the Minister of Education and Sports.

Rwandan President Paul Kagame also attended the statehouse dinner and commended Gen Muhoozi of building peace between Uganda and Rwanda.
