The Resident City Commissioner of Hoima city Mugabi Badru together with his deputies; Kasigazi William Donanto (Hoima East division) and Muhoozi Michael (Hoima West Division) paid a courtesy visit to the Anglican Bishop of Bunyoro Kitara diocese, His lordship Rt Rev Samuel Kahuma in his office on Thursday.

This was one of the strategies of the office of the RCC to strengthen the relationship with all the stakeholders.

The church is key in mobilisation of masses.

Among issues discussed included popularization of government programs like the on going construction of new roads in the city, Emyooga and the Parish Development Model.

Bishop Kahuma was extremely happy to receive the President’s representatives and thanked the President for fulfilling his promise of tarmacing all roads leading to the three main religious sects (Anglicans, Catholics and Muslims).

Finally the bishop promised to work with government especially in mobilising the Christians to embrace government programs like Emyooga and the Parish Development Model to fight poverty and increase household income of Ugandans.
