The leader of People Power movement and the presidential aspirant Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu commonly known as Bobi Wine has vowed to bite or retaliate if Police and Electoral Commission continue failing his consultative meetings.

The Kyadondo East Member of Parliament was supposed to hold his consultative meeting at Pope Memorial Hotel on Monday but Police didn’t allow him to, arguing that he did not fulfill all requirements.

According to Deputy Police spokesperson Polly Namaye, Bobi Wine and his team failed to present the 10 strategies as it was agreed while in the meeting with Police.

“During the meeting that was held at the Electoral Commission headquarters in Kampala, Hon Kyagulanyi and his team proposed to submit in 10 strategies that would be followed to ensure a peaceful and no repeat of lawlessness like we previously witnessed in Kasangati. However, these strategies have not been submitted to Police as it had been agreed on 31 January 2020. So the Police still awaits for his reply and because of his none compliance to submit in those 10 strategies as it has been agreed they will be no any consultative meeting,” she said during the press briefing on Monday at Naguru headquarters.

In his response to her, on Monday evening Bobi Wine said that they are finalising the last stage of what is required as per the agreement. He, however, said that Police has tried so hard to dispose them before the community as hooligans and people who don’t follow laws yet it’s the vice verse.

“That is why we are striving to see that we finish up every request that was put before by the Police and Electoral Commission. We are trying to show the entire world that we are law-abiding people however at every step Police has intentionally violates laws,” he said.

He added that they are ready following what was agreed in the first meeting they held at EC in January but EC has kept quiet while Police are doing contrary to their agreement.
“This is a trying moment to EC and every eye is looking at them, we want to expose them that they have failed to use their mandate and now they are playing us like Pingpong but we are determined to finish all the modalities that we agreed upon,” said Bobi Wine.

He reminded Police that before President Museveni opted for war fight participated in elections, so he cautioned both Police and EC stop act accordingly.
“We want to ensure Police and Electoral Commission that of the failure to abide with the laws as we have done, we shall embark on our plan B. If this fails them, this will mean that Police is also breaking laws, even the EC will not in position to affirm to the country that it will organise a free and fair election,” said Bobi Wine.

However Bobi Wine did not brief his supporter what entails in Plan B but he received assurance from them that they are ready to implement every command.
