Police in Soroti is holding a man accused of sodomizing ab 11-year-old boy. Daniel Aoja, 29, a resident of Cell D in Central Ward in Soroti Municipality was allegedly caught ready-handed on Monday sodomising the minor according to his mother.
Michael Odongo, the East Kyoga Region police spokesman confirmed the incident, saying inquiries are complete adding that they have dispatched the suspect’s file to the resident state attorney for advice.
Odongo says also 15-year-old teenager has also come up accusing the same suspect of sodomizing him in an incomplete house behind Soroti hotel last year in September. According to Odongo, the minor says the suspect threatened to harm his parent if he reported the matter.
The suspect has been slapped with two counts of aggravated defilement contrary to Section 129(1) of the Penal Code Act. Sex against the order of nature between two males carries a potential penalty of life imprisonment.
