Hima Cement has launched new cement designed exclusively for the precast concrete market due to its rapid hardening attributes.

Precast products include pavers, culverts, concrete electricity poles, bridge beams among others.

RapidSet was launched in Kampala on Friday and is already available on the Ugandan market in 30kg bags and bulk.

It drives efficiency because of its high strength gain and rapid hardening qualities which reduces production lead times for precast concrete works.

According to Hima Cement’s Country CEO, Jean-Michel Pons, their commitment to innovate and provide solutions that enhance efficiency for the industry is driven by the tremendous growth of the construction and real estate market.

With two-day strength of 25 MPa, one gets double the strength for their finished precast products.

A megapascal (MPa) is a measure of the compressive strength of concrete.

RapidSet joins Hima’s wide range of cement solutions which include Multipurpose, PowerCrete, PowerMax, PowerPlus, RoadCem, Minecem and Supaset.
