‘People Power’ is my baby, says Museveni aide Full Figure

A couple of days after being appointed Presidential advisor on (no one knows), loud-mouthed singer Jennifer Nakanguubi aka Full-Figure has attempted to take the shine off Bobi Wine by claiming she started People Power.

People Power is a resistance pressure group led by Kyadondo East legislator Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert aka Bobi Wine.

Full Figure, also a struggling musician was a strong agent of People Power until recently when she met President Museveni at State Lodge, Nakasero.

It is believed Bobi Wine’s cabinet, in which she was excluded, led to her fall out with the musician turned politician. After meeting State Lodge meeting, she equated President Museveni to Jesus, saying that he is heaven-sent to Uganda.

But on Friday, she took her feud with Bobi Wine a notch higher by claiming that she is the brains behind People Power.

“I personally brought musicians to support Bobi Wine when he was struggling to contest in Kyadondo. I brought the likes of Hilderman and Irene Namatovu. It was me who started People Power,” she told Mwasuze Mutya host Faridah Nakazibwe on Friday morning, adding that ‘People Power’ stands for “Museveni”.

“I haven’t left People Power. But People Power is Museveni. He went to the bush to fight for the rights of People,” she said.

Asked what she told the President when they met, Full Figure said, “For those who have not met Museveni you d not know him. He is welcoming. I told him, ‘people are broke, I told him Ugandans are arrested for being idle and disorderly’.

Earlier, she had said Yasin Kawuma was not Bobi Wine’s driver, but rather ‘a fella who decided to slay in the legislator’s Tundra’.

Kawuma was shot dead from inside Bobi Wine’s vehicle near Hotel Pacific in Arua town on the eve of Municipality by elections in the West Nile district in August 2018.

She also blamed Bobi Wine’s wife Barbra Itungo for turning a deaf ear when hundreds of people were evicted from Lusanja last year.

“I told barbie ‘let’s start a business for these people and she refused. I talked to Eddie Yawe (Bobi Wine’s brother)  he looked away. ‘These people were evicted from two acres, why don’t you let go of two of your 20 acres and we relocate the elderly women and children?’ They refused. Imagine Bobi Wine lives on 20 acres of land in Magere but he couldn’t help those evicted,” Full Figure, who confesed she was on Museveni’s pay roll said.
