Police in Nagalama have arrested a one Ssalongo Isma Ssesanga for allegedly beating his 10 year old daughter to death.
The incident happened over the weekend in Buyuki village , Kigogola Parish in Kasawo sub county.
Ssesanga who is the Chairperson LCII Kigogola Parish beat Salama Nassanga to death after eating food without his consent.
“It is alleged that the suspect and father to the deceased went to some party and came back home with parked food. Later, the deceased with her two siblings ate it without the consent of the father,” Uganda Police stated on its official Facebook page.
“On realizing that the food had been eaten, he got furious over their actions and beat them all but unfortunately Nassanga died.”
The deceased’s body was picked and taken to Kayunga Hospital for postmortem.
The suspect is currently detained at Nagalama Police Division as investigations into the murder by assault continue.
