USA charity organisation hailed for fighting unemployment among vulnerable youth

A US-based charity organization providing care to vulnerable children in Goma Division, Mukono Municipality, has showcased what children under their care are doing for financial self sustenance.
Ms Petros Zoe Initiative (PZI) has developed strategies to promote and develop youth skills to enable disadvantaged youths face challenges with confidence and ability.
Officiating at the function on Sunday at Jjoggo village, Mukono Deputy Mayor Jamada Kajoba praised PZI for their contribution in the struggle against unemployment, more so among orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs).
PZI Director Hannah Mugonyi disclosed that they endeavour to ensure best quality products that are saleable on international market are put out by children, adding that it is proceeds from these products that tops up requirements for maintaining the children at the institute.
PZI learners produce items including leather and cotton products like shoes, wallets, handbags, garments, ladies’ ornaments, shampoos and others.
