Former Swangz Avenue’s singer Julius Ssembuusi also known as Julio Zulanda is currently admitted at Mulago Hospital after suffering a tragic stage accident that left his leg strained.
Popularly known for songs like Omukwano gwo, Yiita waiter, Njiira among other, reports have it that the singer was recently admitted to Mulago as he waits for his surgery that is scheduled for today August 26, 2019.
A close friend to Zulanda told Watchdog Uganda on Friday that during Swangz Avenue’s All Star Concert that happened at cricket oval in 2018, it wasn’t only Bebe cool who got problems while on stage, but Zulanda fell off the stage and strained his leg.
And following that accident, the singer has been down most of the times, till when doctors advised him to go for a surgery.
“I think he missed a stair and fell off the stage, right after his performance at Swangz All Star concert, he didn’t take it serious in the first place,he thought it could be something simple, but the condition has been worsening every day, and he was recommended to go for surgery,” the friend revealed.
Beside music, Zulanda is also the brain behind songs like Love letter, Gyobera, He go down, Nkubukiinze all by Irene Ntale, Embeera by Winnie Nwagi, Wankolera by Lydia Jazmine among others.
Zulanda joins the likes of celebrities such as MC Kats, Irene Ntale, Fik Famieca, Kalifah Aganaga, who have had such accidents while on stage.
