Hope by this time every social media user knows Henry Ssuubi Kiyimba.

Ssuubi has been a victim of cyber-bullying for carrying a metallic suitcase to Makerere University as a first-year student.

What started as scorn when a one Emmanuel Aupal, posted a picture of Ssuubi or Hope on twitter, mocking the Makerere University fresher for deceptively carrying what he described as a high school box, is day by day opening doors for him.

From meeting prominent figures in the country to receiving items like a laptop, clothes, a smartphone among others, indeed there’s light at the end of the tunnel for Ssuubi.

And now the fresher has also decided to join the platform that introduced him to Ugandans who have since proved that there still some people with helping hearts.

Ugandans have indeed walked a talk against Ssuubi’s plight.

“@HenrySsuubi has officially joined the 3 largest Social Networks; Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. He was 100% in charge of the sign up process. I wish him luck as he adventures into the digital space where he was initially a victim of bullying,” Mathias Ssemanda from Makerere University tweeted on Thursday.

Ssuubi’s profile on Twitter, where he has already received 250 followers in two hours reads: “I have hope in me that things change. u can call me Ssuubi from Kammengo a small town in Mpigi “BLESS ME OH LORD,BLESS MY MUM ,BLESS UGANDA.”

And six hours ago, he made his first post:

“I wish to extend my sincere gratitude to friends and family who have joined hands to change my entire life. What has happened in my life is a motivation for me to work beyond a trillion times harder.I am humbled and grateful, may the almighty shower his blessing on you.”

Now whoever wants to have an online chat with Ssuubi, you know where to find him.
