Baby survives fatal YY coach accident in Iganga

A baby whose mother is one of the casualties of the Monday afternoon accident, is stranded at a police post at Nakalama, in Iganga district. The baby’s mother is one of the five people reported dead in the Monday afternoon accident.

The unidentified baby is one of the survivors in the fatal accident after a YY bus headed to Mbale town overturned in Busei, Iganga district.

“If you know this child, please check with Nakalama police post,” said Akena Martin on his Twitter handle @akmartos.

He shared photos of a baby lifted by a man at the scene of the accident.

Eye witnesses say the driver of the bus number UAQ 906T lost control of  the bus and overturned the vehicle.
