Boris Johnson on Tuesday was elected new Conservative leader in a ballot of party members and will become the next UK prime minister.

He beat Jeremy Hunt comfortably, winning 92,153 votes to his rival’s 46,656.

Speaking at the Queen Elizabeth II centre in London, he said: “We are going to energise the country.

“We are going to get Brexit done on 31 October and take advantage of all the opportunities it will bring with a new spirit of can do.

“We are once again going to believe in ourselves, and like some slumbering giant we are going to rise and ping off the guy ropes of self doubt and negativity.”

Well, to Prophet Elvis Mbonye followers here in Uganda and world over, Johnson’s victory was not news to them because the man of God had already prophesied a few months ago that indeed the 55 year old Briton would take over from Theresa May.

Mbonye who leads a Pentecostal ministry in the capital Kampala called Zoe Ministries made the revelation on the night of December 31.

“I went to the UK. There is something I began to see. It was something new that was brewing…about the politics and leadership of that country. It turned out into something that is symbolic. I saw men and women running, and I could tell they were leaders of that country… As they were running, one man was being cheered on. The name is Boris Johnson,” he said.

Mbonye says, the leadership of Britain will change this year and Boris Johnson, the champion of Brexit, would rise to power.

He said there were people from all walking of life supporting him, not just his party. Mr Boris is a member of the conservative party.

“He was being cheered on by people from different walks of life. Something like a coalition,” preacher added, in a recording Watchdog Uganda has in its possession.

Mbonye however, warned that UK would also suffer a massive hack into its banking sector whose effects would spread across the world.
