Bugingo saga: Capt. Mukula questions why Pentecostal clerics do not follow Jesus’s preaching

Seasoned aviator Mike Mukula, has questioned Pentecostal Church leaders for also not following Jesus’s preaching.

This after they denounced the House of Prayer Ministries Pastor Aloysius Bugingo ‘for going against their norms’.

Bugingo recently told his followers during a church service, how he spent 10 years buying cotton for his wife Teddy Naluswa Bugingo, because she was suffering from fistula. And although he came out to apologise the damage from his candid talk that he had also had sex for less than 100 times in their 29 years of marriage was already done.

This prompted The Born Again Pentecostal Church of Uganda (UFBPC) to come out and denounce Bugingo, claiming that they are no longer consider him as a pastor.

But according to Capt. Mukula, also a former Soroti Municipality MP, forgiveness is a key factor that Jesus taught his people, and as Pastors, all they have to do is to forgive and pray for Bugingo, not denounce him.

“As a Christian who follows the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ, I will pray for Pastor Bugingo and I call upon the union of Pentecostal churches not to denounce him, Jesus taught us to forgive always,” he said through his social media platforms.

The UFBPC clerics led by Bishop Joshua Lwera, the General Overseer of the National Fellowship, recently claimed that they constantly advised Bugingo to separate his personal life from the preaching, but he refused to comply with their requests.

“We have done our part as believers and leaders In the Body of Christ to love, admonish and correct our brother in love but in vain, we have decided not to recognize Bugingo’s ministry until we see genuine repentance and an acceptable change,” they noted.

In a related development, Government has, with immediate effect, banned Pastor Bugingo from using offensive communication against his wife Teddy.
