The Kyadondo East Legislator Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine, and the 36 others blamed for stoning the Presidential car during the Arua fracas in 2018, ahave been slapped with fresh charges.

According to Kyagulanyi through his social media page on Friday, the legislator claimed that the State has now charged them with annoying, alarming and ridiculing the person of the President.

“In another ridiculous attempt to have the 37 of us framed over Arua, the state has brought a Fresh charge against us! What offence? That we ANNOYED, ALARMED and RIDICULED the persons of President Museveni,” he shared.

The musician turned politician claimed that after the state failing to succeed in convincing the public that Zaaka tortured himself and later fled the police custody, they have now resorted to creating more charges on them.

“Lying that they found guns and bullets in my hotel room wasn’t shameful enough! Lying that Hon. Zaake tortured himself and escaped from them to hospital wasn’t ridiculous enough! Lying that the 37 of us got a stone and threw it and smashed his car window wasn’t laughable enough! They are still cooking more charges, these people are too scared, but we shall overcome” he said.

Kyagulanyi, with some fellow Members of Parliament who included, Francis Zaake, Kasiano  Wadri, Paul Mwiru , and civilians were charged in Arua, following accusations that Wadri’s supporters attacked President Museveni’s motorcade, during the Arua by-elections in 2018.
