Drunk Rukungiri pork seller falls in frying pan, dies

Police in Rukungiri District is investigating circumstances under which a man who roasts pork fell into a frying pan and died on spot.

The deceased has been identified as identified as Nelson Gumisiriza, aged 28.

According to the Kigezi Region Police spokesperson Elly Maate, the deceased is said to have fallen into a frying pan on Tuesday afternoon while roasting pork at Katanga cell, Kinyasano ward, in Rukungiri municipality.

“Preliminary investigations indicate that the deceased had been drunk for the last three days,” he said, before warning the public against excessive alcohol consumption.
