A row has erupted again between the Ntungamo LCV chairperson Dennis Singahache Simpson and District councilor representing Ntungamo sub county Naboth Mpirirwe over accusations of corruption, defamation and sabotaging the district development.

This prompted councilor Mpirirwe threatens to sue district chairperson Dennis Singahache for defamation.

Speaking to the media in Ntungamo Municipality on Monday evening, Mpirirwe said Singahache had written four defamatory letters accusing him of being impersonator, vagrant (Omuyaayi), corrupt and saboteur of which all are false allegations.

He said that in the latest six paged letter written by Singahache dated March 4, 2019 alleged that Mpirirwe is indisciplined, constantly tells lies, impunity and negative acts of sabotaging government and  district activities.

The letter was copied to First Lady as NRM chairperson Ntungamo district, all MPs from Ntungamo, RDC, district speaker, all councilors and stakeholders purportedly asking them distance themselves from Mpirirwe.

Mpirirwe says he will sue Singahache because the information in four letters was false and aimed at damaging his reputation and political career.

Through his lawyers of Ngaruye Ruhindi, Spencer & Co. Advocates, Mpirirwe has given Singahache an ultimatum of seven days to apologize to him, immediately cease from making malicious and false allegations and pay him Shs35m. Failure of which, they shall institute legal proceedings against him.

When contacted, Singahache admitted of writing a six paged letter warning Mpirirwe to stop but he has repeatedly also made the malicious allegations against him at various forums especially in the district council which he must stop.
