Police is to quiz up to 20 pastors in Kampala, Mukono and Wakiso district over allegations of ritual sacrifice and rape in their churches.
Mr Johnson Monday, the head of homicide department under the officer of the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) told government newspaper New Vision that assistants of pastors in different churches were taking advantage of vulnerable girls and women to woe them into sexual activities.
This comes at the back of accusations that inside several churches were mass graves, and sanctuaries for rape, defilement and extortion.
This website understands that police chief Okoth Ochola is keen on the findings of the accusations that numerous pastors were involved in ritual sacrifice and rape in order to acquire supernatural powers.
There are several complaints against pastors whose business is not regulated, that, some use electronic devices to make their believers think the falling person is getting ‘miracles’.
The purpose of faking miracles is for pastors to gain power and influence over their followers, who in return open their wallets generously to reward their shepherds.
