StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
Mbabara City 3 – 1 Express.
Mbabara City could have a false start in the Uganda Premier League but they seem to have learnt from their mistakes following a convincing 3-1 win against Express in a rescheduled league match played at Kavumba Recreation Grounds on Sunday evening.
Mbabara City opened the scoring through Karim Ndugwa in the 14th minute but Express had other ideas and two minutes later Nsubuga Mubarak made amends to level matters.
Ivan Eyam scored for the hosts on 39 minutes, allowing Mbarara City to head into the break with lead. After recess, Hilary Mukundane sealed the deal making it 3-1 in the 53 minute. The win moved Mbarara City to sixth, ahead of Bul on goal difference and below KCCA. Bright Stars, Onduparaka and Vipers top the table.
The loss means Express have picked up a point from two played in the Uganda Premier League, ahead of their Mathc Day three class away to Police FC on Tuesday October 16. Mbarara City host Maroons on Saturday October 20 at Kavumba.
