Kobs Rugby Club have confirmed the appointment of club legend Fred Mudoola as the new head coach. He will be assisted by Edmond Tumusiime. Mudoola last managed Kobs in 2014.
The Betway-sponsored club, currently preparing for the new season with the Uganda Cup also used Wednesday’s press conference in Kampala to unveil the squad and a new kit to be used in the season.
According to Betway Country manager, Adelle Agaba the team is ready to reclaim the Cup and League title last won in 2018 and also stressed the need of partnering with Kobs ahead of the new season.
“We believe Kobs have the ability to perform well this season, the team is beefed up and ready,” Agaba said.
Kobs’ chairman Sam Rubanga also confirmed the latest recruits of the club led by Aredo Joepsh who makes a return after an unsuccessful season with Kenya’s Harlequins, Aziku Robert from Rhinos, Ivan Kirabo, David Agaasi, Ronald Musajjagulanyago, Donald Oketayot and Otega Dan are some of the 10 signed players.
