Kisoro: 3 armed robbers survive lynching

Kisoro police station has registered a case of aggravated robbery under file number CRB 856/2018.

The Complainant, Zirarusha Geoffrey male,  46 is a business man and resident of  kabira village Rutare parish chahi sub-county  Kisoro District.
 It’s alleged that on Friday 21/09/2018 at around 9pm,  the complaint left Cyanika town and went to  his home approximately a half kilometer from the town center.
 After reaching at the gate of his house,  he left the vehicle registration number UAX 291F canter, white in colour and opened the gate for him self. He went back to the motor vehicle  and drove inside the gate and his wife  Nyirabasuku  Evasta came out of the house to assist the husband (complainant) in closing the gate.
 Immediately as a group of three people surfaced where by one of them was armed with a riffle and put the man and his wife on gun point demanding for money. The two suspects searched the complainant and robbed him 460000/=.
 The  Armed one forced the woman into the house ordering her to produce more money. The husband remained outside struggling with the two who were not armed. The Armed one kept ordering the woman to produce more money and the woman pretended as if she was going to pick the money in one of the bedrooms and she disappeared from the assailant since most of the rooms in the house had no light.
The woman ran out while making an alarm for a rescue. The nearby neighbors responded so fast and arrested the two of the three suspects who were later taken by police.
The third suspect who is alleged to  have been with the gun escaped narrowly  and he is still in hiding.
Elly Maate, the Kigezi region Police spokesperson says that The two suspects were identified as Bizige Emmanuel aged 40  from Rwanda and  Nfitundinda Vincent a.k.a But aged 38 who’s a  mufumbira by tribe a taxi driver and a resident of cyanika trading center.
Maate adds that  The scene has been visited by police and  some exhibits recovered and suspects taken for treatment at Kisoro Hospital as investigations  continue.
