The Inaugural Pilsner FUFA Super 8 tournament kicked off on Saturday, 4th August 2018 at the Star Times Stadium, Lugogo in Kampala.

Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) defeated Jinja based side BUL 3-2 in the opening match.

KCCA’s goals were scored by Allan Kyambadde, Muzamiru Mutyaba and Mustafa Kizza to build a 3-0 lead at some stage.

Uganda U-20 forward Hamis Tibita grabbed a brace later in the game to galvanize the scoreline.

The second of Tibita’s goals was a kick from the penalty spot, awarded after defender Fillbert Obenchan brought down Oromchan Villa in the area.

Kyambadde, a new signing at Lugogo was named man of the match for his outstanding display in the game, a reward that comes with Shs 150,000 which was handed over by the FUFA chairperson of the Marketing Committee, Rogers Byamukama.

KCCA thus progresses to the semi-final stage.

Meanwhile, the Pilsner FUFA Super 8 tourney continues on Tuesday, 7th August 2018 when Nyamityobora hosts Kirinya-Jinja S.S at Kakyeka stadium.
