Kamuli Municipality Member of Parliament Hajjat Rehema Watongola has vowed to drag the Democratic Party (DP) Eastern Deputy Chairman Moses Bigirwa to courts of law for defaming her and misleading her electorate.

This comes after Bigirwa who led the mobile money operators protest against the newly introduced taxes in Kamuli Municipality told the area people that the MP insulted them when she said that there are no people using social media in the area and the number of people using mobile money is small there giving her an ultimatum of up to today Monday to come out with a statement over who gave her permission to endorse the OTT taxes and the taxes on mobile money.

Speaking to the press at Kamuli Youth Center in kamuli town , watongola revealed that Bigirwa’s words are defamatory as she has never spoken such words adding that she only said that people in her area using wHatsapp are not many but she never talk about mobile money.

Watongola said Bigirwa is not an electorate in kamuli, “he votes from Buyende but he is coming to kumuli to mislead my people” adding that she is yet to decide to take the matter to police.

She again warned people planning to invade her home that she will not hesitate to act upon them since what they will be doing will be illegal.
