Police in Kisoro district has recovered an SMG rifle abandoned by the roadside.
According to the Kigezi region Police spokesperson Elly Maate, it’s Believed to be of a private security company,I RPS.
The gun number SAR NO.UG POL K425455-105348 was recovered at Nyamushungwa village, Mabungo parish Nyarusiza subcounty, Kisoro district.
Kigezi Region Police spokesperson Elly Maate has confirmed the recovery of the said gun.
“The gun had one live bullet in the chamber and more 3 bullets not accounted for. RPS supervisor had reported the disappearance of his staff Nsenjiyunva Robert, case number SD 14/20/6/2018,” Matte said.
The suspect, Nsenjiyunva is on the run as inquiries go on.
