Police in Kisoro district is investigating circumstances under which a new born baby was murdered.
It’s alleged that on 12th may 2018 at around 9pm while in Butuga Village, Rwingi parish, Nyakabande sub-county, Mahirwe jackline aged 26 years and Sebahire Matthias conspired and killed a new Born baby and buried the body in the garden of beans.
Mahirwe is married to another man and they have three Kids however her husband went to Kampala to work where he spends some time without coming back home.
It’s alleged that Mahirwe fell in love with Sebahire and in the process she became pregnant and produced a baby.
Mahirwe decided to hand over the baby to the father, Sebahire in fear of the first husband’s reaction in case he finds out . Sebahire also decided to kill the baby and buried it in the garden.
The kigezi region police spokesperson Elly Maate has confirmed that the Scene of crime was visited by police and that the body was recovered and taken to kisoro hospital for postmortem as investigations continue.
