Students from Kampala International University (KIU)on Wednesday began their end of semester exams leaving the discontented engineering students stranded.
The engineering students were seen ignored by a few course-mates who opted to join other students in other courses to do the exams.
It should be noted that ever since the strike took effect, these students have been briefed and updated regarding the accreditation process but they seem not convinced with the administration’s way of doing things.
Early this week, the aggrieved students camped at the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) in a quest to probe the council about their unaccredited engineering courses.
Alex Busingye, the public relations officer for KIU noted that as a university, they are on the right track and have done every thing possible to settle the students and have their courses accredited as soon as possible.
