National Council of Sports (NCS) has cancelled all cricket games which will be played on every Tuesday after Prophet Elvis Mbonye booking the Lugogo Cricket Oval for two years.
In a letter dated 14th May, 2018, Dr. Ogwel Bernard Patrick informed the CEO of Uganda Cricket Association that the Cricket Oval was booked by Mbonye’s Zoe Fellowship Ministries for their prayer meetings every Tuesday for the next 24 months.
“Accordingly, we request you to reserve the cricket oval for the aforementioned event. We assure you that NCS shall ensure that the grounds are protected against any encumbrances,” said Dr. Ogwel.
Before penning a deal with NCS, Mbonye was conducting his prayer meetings at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds.
