The 20 Subjects approved for the New O-Level curriculum

The government has approved 20 subjects to be taught and examined for the Uganda Certificate of Education (O-Level) and therefore recommended to be taught during O’level.
The ministry of education and the national curriculum development centre have presented the new curriculum for approval and will soon be piloted although it is expected to be rolled out countrywide in 2020.
The 20 subjects Approved for O-Level are;
1. English language
2. Mathematics
3. Geography
4. History
5. Physics
6. Chemistry
7. Biology
8. Religious Education
9. Entrepreneurship
10. Foreign Languages
11. Local Languages
12. Kiswahili
13. Information Communication and Technology
14. Nutrition and Food Technology
15. Technology and Design
16. Performing Arts (Music, Dance and Drama)
17. Fine Art
18. Physical Education
19. Agriculture
20. Literature in English
