Following the recent operations targeting unroadworthy motorcycles, drunk riders, those without riding permits, and other incompetent riders, Kampala traffic team has come up with an initiative of a sensitisation campaign aimed at creating awareness among motorists and other road users on importance of safety and good road usage.
While meeting together with Kampala Metropolitan Traffic Police Commander SSP. Norman Musinga, leaders of different bodaboda organizations pledged to work hand in hand with police in mobilising different members of their associations to participate in the sensitisation programs geared at understanding the law better as well as enhancing voluntary compliance to traffic laws and regulations.
According to SSP. Musinga, riders are to be sensitised on road safety tips, traffic signs, road markings,road use discipline and on how to fine tune their road culture in the interest of their own safety and that of others.
