A couple of days ago this website reported that President Museveni had met crime preventers national coordinator Blaise Kamugisha in Rukunguri.
Today it has emerged President Museveni went ahead to take the young leader with him to Rwakitura where he retired after the Friday Rukunguri rallies.
Our sources say Museveni engaged Kamugisha on a number of issues including the future of crime preventers after their patron Gen Kale Kayihura exited police.
Kamugisha’s was not able to tell us the details of the meeting as his known telephone number still goes unanswered unanswered.
Kamugisha was spotted on Friday in Rukungiri, before the president turned up to address the rallies graced by Rukunguri heavy weights Jim Muhwezi and Prof Mondo Kagonyera. It emerged he was in the area on the president’s invitation.
Our sources say Kamugisha, a right hand man of the former police chief Gen Kale Kayihura, has been tasked with mobilising more youth for Museveni ahead of the upcoming referendum.
The youthful leader reportedly has about 11 million people under his organisation formed to support community policing and political mobilisation.
