Last month, Justine Bagyenda was sacked as Bank of Uganda Director in charge of Supervision and it was reported that after the dismissal, she adamantly refused to hand over office.
Recently she even met President Yoweri Museveni at Kawumu presidential farm where she narrated her ordeal and wanted him if possible be given back her juicy position.
Now Yesterday, Bagyenda’s replacement Tumubweine Twinomanzi reported for work was introduced to top management during a 10am meeting convened by the BoU Governor, Professor Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebile.
However, after the meeting Mr. Twinomanzi sat in a different office which belonged to former Deputy Director for Supervision Benedict Sekabira simply because Bagyenda refused to vacate office.
Accordingly, instruments of power were removed from Bagyenda and handed over to Twinomanzi leaving the former powerless.
Apparently, Bagyenda is under spotlight after her bank accounts possessing shs20 billion were exposed and the general public was left wondering how she managed to accumulate such huge amount of money within a period of six years.
