Though a number of people have criticized former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Gen. Kale Kayihura for tarnishing the police image during his 13 years tenure, Kitgum Municipality MP Beatirce Anywar has decided to come out for his defence.
Anywar while addressing a press today at parliament said the sacked police boss did a great job in managing the opposition as well as dealing with terrorism in the country adding that he should be given credit where it is due.
“Gen. Kayihura did a great job in managing the Opposition and dealing with terrorism in the country and he should be credited for that,” said Anywar.
She also congratulated President Yoweri Museveni upon making a decision which she is optimistic will be for the better.
