UPDF Engineers Brigade trounces Air Force to win CDF Cup

Engineers Brigade has emerged champions after winning the 11th CDF Soccer Cup 2017/18 in Masindi.

Engineers Brigade beat Air Force 4-2 in a penalty shoot out after 1 all draw in normal time.

The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF)who was the Chief guest promised a bull to each of the three best teams, the winning team, the 1st runners up and the 2nd runners up respectively.

2Div settled fo 3rd position after they edged out 1Div 2-1 in the losers march.

The CDF pledged to continue rendering support to the tournament in a bid to tap young talents fo a much stronger team fo the UPDF as a force. He said that the winning team will be playing with a regional team during Tarehe Sita celebrations this February.

The RDC Masindi Mr Godfrey Nyakahuma praised the UPDF troops fo the discipline and honour they have displayed in the 10 days they have stayed in the area without a single incident of misbehaviour reported against the troops.

4Div team which was the reigning champion was eliminated by A/Force 2-1 at Q/Final stage.

The tournament was aimed at enhancing discipline, wellness, fitness, teamwork amongest UPDF officers.
