The President of Uganda Medical Association, Dr Ekwaro Obuku who recently led the doctors’ strike which put the country at standstill was last night attacked by unknown people outside his home who beat him and left with his valuables.
Dr. Ekwaro a resident of Kitikifumba in Kiira municipality was beaten to a pulp and left fighting for his life.
According to Luke Oweyisigyire the Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson, this happened at around 2am this morning.
He is now receiving treatment at Case clinic.
Apparently, police has deployed at his house to find out what happened.
