A second victim who was shot during last week’s running battles between police and crowds opposed to age limit removal in Rukungiri has died.
A 17 year old school boy Robert Muhumuza was shot during the confrontation with the Police inhas succumbed to bullet injuries.
Muhumuza died on Sunday at Mbarara Community Hospital where he was transferred when his conditions deteriorated at Nyakibale Hospital where he was earlier admitted.
On the same eve, a 22 year old Edison Nasasira was shot dead on the head by a stray bullet as police fired teargas and live bullets to disperse a crowd of people that had formed around the former Presidential candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye as he arrived in Rukungiri town for Kogikwatako rally.
Nasasira was buried last Friday amidst tears and sorrow.
