FUFA President Magogo Promises $ 3000 Winning Bonus To Uganda Cranes’ Players

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) President Eng. Moses Magogo has assured the Uganda Cranes players of a winning bonus worth $3000 for a win against Ghana in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia qualifier on Saturday 7th October at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
The President made the promise as he was addressing the players on the eve of the event at Sky Hotel in Naalya.
Accompanied by his 1st Vice President Justus Mugisha, Eng. Magogo made the pledge during his routine visit to the Uganda Cranes Camp ahead of any international encounter.
‘This is a very important match which should be treated as a Cup final for that matter,  we have increased the winning bonus from $2500 to $3000’ noted the FUFA President.

Along with him, he also delivered the message from the President of Uganda H.E General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, who wishes the team the best of luck to qualify for the FIFA World Cup.

 ‘The President of Uganda asked me to deliver his message that he wants you to qualify to the World Cup’ added Eng.  Magogo.
Eng. Magogo appreciated everyone on the team for the enormous input especially the technical team comprised of Moses Basena,  Mathias Lule,  Fred Kajoba and Ibrahim Ssekajja (who couldn’t make it for the Ghana match), players and all support staff.
Magogo also reminded the players that over 36M people are following them and they need to make them happy.
He also tasked them not to forget themselves because the better they perform the more chances of getting better opportunities.
“Though you need to make people happy,  don’t forget yourself and you should know that football  your business.”
He further the players not to undermine Ghana but play with commitment and thus utilizing the available chance because they may not be retrieved.
Magogo said that Uganda still has bigger chances of qualifying to the World Cup if the they wins the two remaining matches starting with that against Ghana.

Outfield players: Nico Wadada,  Denis Iguma,  Savio Kabugo, Bernard Muwanga,  Isaac Muleme, Timothy Awanyi, Ivan Ntege, Muzamir Mutyaba,  Tom Masiko,  Derrick Nsibambi,  Nelson Senkatuka, Isaac Isinde,  Joseph Ochaya, Godfrey Walusimbi, Hassan Wasswa,  Tonny Mawejje, William Kizito Luwagga,  Emmanuel Okwi, Edrisa Lubega, Geofrey Serunkuma & Faruku Miya
