President Yoweri Museveni has today on Monday visited communities in Entebbe where women murders have been taking place for the last four months.
The president has assured residents that government is going to apprehend the murderers behind the killings.
He said they have previously dealt with and defeated more sophisticated crime so they are very optimistic that they will deal and overcome the current situation with an iron hand.
“We have previously dealt with and defeated more sophisticated crime, including terrorism. We shall apprehend those behind these killings,” he said.
Museveni further sent condolences to the families which have lost their loved ones in the ongoing gruesome murders.
So far 23 women have been murdered by unknown assailants in Entebbe and Nansana in a period of four months.
Earlier today, a group of women in Entebbe staged a demonstration expressing their discontent on how government has handled the ongoing murders.
