Government has set Tuesday as a day it’s going to meet state prosecutors over planned strike.
The state prosecutors under their umbrella body Uganda Association of Prosecutors (UAP) will meet the cabinet subcommittee comprising of Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Public Service.
“Dear Comrades, we will have a meeting with the Cabinet subcommittee on Tuesday at 2pm. Most likely at MOJCA headquarters Bauman House. The subcommittee comprises of MOJCA, Min of Finance, Min of Public Service. Will keep you posted,” Stated Baxter Bakibinga, UAP president.
Last month, prosecutors resolved to conduct a nationwide industrial action in form of a strike over unsolved grievances which included poor pay among others.
They gave government a 14 day ultimatum to solve their matter; short of that they proceed with their strike.
