Kyadondo East parliamentary seat contender Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi Wine has been arrested in Kasangati ahead of NRM’s Sebalu Sitenda’s rally where President Yoweri Museveni is going to be a chief campaigner.

Singer Bobi Wine was meant to campaign in Kasangati but police has blocked him from accessing the grounds.

Earlier today police stormed the singer’s rally venue and asked supporters to vacate.

He was detained at Kasangati Police Station as confrontation between his supporters and police continues.

Samuel Walter Lubega, Bobi Wine’s campaign manager says he has been blocked from accessing the singer.

Apparently, Bobi Wine has been whisked out by two police patrol cars and he is being detained at Kira Police Station.

It should be noted that this is the last campaigning day and the by-elections will be held on Thursday 29 June, 2017.
