Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) candidate Apollo Kantinti has claimed that fellow Kyadondo East parliamentary seat contestant Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi Wine has been fronted by NRM.
While appearing on NTV’s fourth Estate show, Kantinti said NRM is now fronting the singer after realizing that their candidate Sitenda Sibalu has lost ground and this was explained by top NRM cadre Gertrude Njuba endorsing Bobi Wine.
Kantinti, Bobi Wine, Sitenda and two others are vying for Kyadondo East parliamentary seat in a hotly contested race.
On April, 2017, the seat was declared vacant after court of Appeal upheld the lower court decision that nullified the election of Kantinti as the Kyadondo East Constituency Member of Parliament.
The By-election is scheduled on 29 June, 2017.
