Even if the Kyadondo East seat is a long shot for NRM, the NRM Secretary General Justine Kasule Lumumba and the Party National Treasurer Rose Namayanja have descended on the Constituency on Monday afternoon to start laying the ground for the by-elections scheduled for June 26.
The NRM party officials addressed party leaders gathered from villages to district levels at Green Life Resort in Kasangati Town Council.
Lumumba and Namayanja hope to bring back Sitenda Sebalu, the NRM Party flag bearer back to Parliament, in the forth coming by- elections.
According to Rogers Mulindwa, the NRM secretariat Communications Officer, Lumumba and Namayanja were joined by the party money bags Dr. Hassan Galiwango and the District NRM chairperson Hajji Kiyimba among others.
Sitenda will be contesting this by-election against FDC Kantinti and independent Bobi Wine.
