Vice President Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi’s mother Virigo Nabukalu has passed on at Nakasero Hospital in Kampala at the age of 101.
Nabukalu was pronounced dead a few minutes to 12pm on Friday after being admitted with complications related to old age.
According to Kizito kawonawo, Ssekandi’s political aide, the deceased was born in 1916 and when she clocked 97 years, she became too weak.
Nabukalu , a former trainee catholic nun was married to Alex Kiwanuka, an ex-seminarian and a residenr of Bulegeya in Kindu parish, Kyanamikaaka in Masaka District.
