Police in Kamuli have impounded Salaamu Musumba’s car, a Land Cruiser UAQ 286M after it was found carrying sharp objects including knives, arrows and bow.
Musumba the FDC candidate in the Kamuli Municipality by-election was earlier today arrested minutes after casting her vote to record a statement.
However, Musumba admitted that she moves with arrows in her as a self protection mechanism.
The five-man contest is highly heated up between NRM’s Rehema Watongola against FDC’s Salaamu Musumba. Others candidates are: Proscovia Naikoba Kanakutanda (Independent), Samuel Walugyo (Independent) and Mike Kiboome (Independent).
Court of Appeal ejected Watongola from Parliament for lack of minimum academic qualifications to become an MP.
