The current alarming hike of school fees to unreasonable amounts by several schools has prompted the Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Kataaha Museveni to warn all those involved in the act to stop immediately.

While releasing last year’s Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) results at Prime Minister’s office today, Mrs. Museveni objected the schools’ act, urging all schools that feel like rising school fees to first seek permission from the Ministry of Education.

“Should any school intend to rise school fees, permission must be sought from the ministry,” Mrs. Museveni urged.
