“At DFCU Nsambya branch my account number formerly  in Crane Bank can’t be traced. This is unacceptable,” one of the discontented customers said.

In January this year, DFCU Bank tookover Crane Bank after emerging winner amongst 13 institutions that had put up a bid for Crane Bank.

BoU reassured the public that it will continue to protect depositors’ interests and maintain the stability of the financial sector.
