Police has revealed the names of the suspects in the failed violent robbery at City Oil petrol station in Kamwokya, Kampala, on Thursday afternoon.

The suspects were arrested as they carried out the mission but police had followed them up following a tip off, thus stopping them before the petrol station owned by city businessman Mandela, lost any property. Two people were shot as police arrested the rest. A stray bullet unfortunately got the cleaner who was rushed to the nearby Mulago hospital.

Some of the suspects have been identified as Douglas Kintu, Khalid Ogwal, Nicholas Baguma Francis, Robert Okello, Frank Lukwago, and Tony Nume all from Nansana.

Four guns were recovered in the operation.

Four suspected robbers were armed with three pistols and two AK 47 guns. They had travelled in a numberless Noah van whose owners and actual number plates are yet to be identified.
