Sarah Kagingo is the former Special Presidential Assistant for Communications at State House and apparently she is aspiring for an East Africa Legislative Council (EALA) MP seat.

Here are the seven things which make her standout in the EALA race;

1)Born in 1978 in Kajara, Ntungamo District, Sarah Kagingo went to Trinity College Nabingo for O-Level and Mt St Mary’s College Namagunga for A-Level and she excelled so well since she was one of the best students in the country.

2)She was admitted for a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy but turned it down for a degree in library and information science at Makerere University.

3) Kagingo became second female guild president of Makerere University in 1997 after Norah Njuba making her one of the few women to lead Makerere Guild.

4) She later worked with Divinity Union, a non-government organisation as a research assistant and later public relations officer. The single mother of two children worked as a director research and development with a local company that deals in value addition.

5)Kagingo had earlier worked in various leadership positions in her school days, and also with Gen Salim Saleh’s Divinty Union Ltd as the P.R.O in 2000, before becoming his Special Duties Assistant in 2007. She later worked as Head of research at Akiba International, also owned by Gen Saleh.

6)Kagingo, stood in the previous 2012 polls but was not among the six picked by her ruling NRM party to represent Uganda; who included Margret Nantongo Zziwa, Dora Byamukama, Benard Mulengani, Mike Sebalu, NusuraTiperu, and Dan Kidega.

7)Currently she runs Soft Power Digital Communications Company and also a consultant for Operation Wealth Creation.
