What is trending in Uganda? #HowMuhangaGot10Bn

The hashtag has come from anger to attracting lots of jokes. The subject of discussion Burahya MP Margaret Muhanga however wasn’t left out of the fun.

And it turns out, it is not just the look and answer Muhanga gave MP Nandala Mafabi who was leading the questioning in her acquisition of 23 acres of UBC land for only Sh10 billion, that is hilarious about this Mutooro legislator.

Muhanga who happens to be the spokesperson for the NRM MPs caucus has gone on the hashtag#HowMuhangaGot10Bn to advise people talking about goats that “now u shd move to rabbits coz u can sell from its urine to teeth on intl mkt”.

Muhanga tweeting from the handle ?@MargaretMuhanga had earlier assured her critics that there is nothing Parliament can do about her business transactions.

She wrote, “Hey Stay cool. The Supreme Court, the highest in the land already made a ruling on UBC land and Parl can’t overturn it. Period.”

Who is Muhanga?

The Burahya County MP in Kabarore District is a businesswoman with lots of connections. She has worked with Ugandan intelligence and prior served as the Kabarole District women representative for two terms. She is married to former Kabarore District chairman and current boss of the National Forestry Authority (NFA) and they have two children.

Muhanga is however more known as the sister to Andrew Mwenda and UPDF high flying general Kayanja Muhanga.
