Christmas has come too early for comedy lovers as Fun Factory presents its annual grand comedy show dubbed ‘5 Star Madness’.

The fourth season, scheduled for Friday, November 29, at the The Serena Hotel’s Victoria Hall, follows a two year hiatus by the kings and queens of skit comedy.

Not new to the comedy scene, Fun Factory have always held a weekly live comedy show at National Theater every Thursday dubbed Comedicine.

Some of their episodes also air on various TV stations and social media platforms.

Fun Factory is also praised for crafting clean comedy with a cut across appeal.

Unlike their weekly shows, organizers say 5 Star Madness ‘is crafted for comedy lovers who only get time to watch Fun Factory on TV or via various social media platform’ but have never got a chance to see them live on stage.

“Hundreds of our fans are not able to watch our Thursday Night weekly Comedy show at the Theater anymore due to changing lifestyle. It’s upon these findings that we base to stage ‘5 Star Madness.’ The audience’s reception of this concept is very favorable as they are ‘hungry’ for that big long hearty laugh that climaxes their year,” Richard Tuwangye, one of the comedians with the outfit, noted.

And for 10 years, Fun Factory’s weekly shows have stood the test of time, receiving an overwhelming attendance all thanks to their constant ability of delivering fresh live acts that are worth spending money on.

Some of the talents to look out for come D-day are Simon Base Kalema,  Veronicah Namanda, Bugingo Hannington, Teacher Mpamire, Anne Kansiime, Dickson Zzizinga, Frobisher Lwanga, Gerald Rutaro, Kuddzu Isaac, Tuwangye among others.

Comedy aside, the show will also see music performance from several artistes, led by soulful Kenneth Mugabi and his band.

Gates to the venue will be opened at 6:00pm and entrance tickets are already out on sale at Shs80,000, but on gate it will go for Shs100,000. VIP tickets sell at Shs2 million.

Part of the proceeds from the show will go towards paying fees for Ngora School for the Deaf.
