Former raga King, Richard Kasendwa alias Ziza Bafana has given a go ahead to artistes who copy his singing style, noting that it’s a blessing for him.
According to the singer through his social media platform on Tuesday, Bafana likes it when upcoming artistes mime his songs, because it shows him that he built a strong legacy.
“It has been a regular question about the artistes who mime and try to sing like me, my dears that’s a blessing because, what will your legacy tell when you reach the call? I like it! I love it! #KingdomBafana, #TheBoat,” he shared.
Though we are not sure about his said ‘legacy’, with no doubt, Bafana was a few years ago one of the most sought for dancehall artistes, who ruled all music charts with songs like Pomini, Bantu Baffe, Akalulu, Batufitina, among others, booked on all music shows in and around Kampala, but currently he is a shadow of his old self.
Because of his found fame back then, Bafana even titled himself as ‘Katonda wa ragga’ but his stardom started to fade after he parted ways with his manager Roger Lubega; things were never the same.
Bafana revealed that he parted ways with Lubega over money issues, allegedly after he (Lubega) failed to account for the money made during the ‘Tuli Majje’ concert in 2016.
After almost three years off music scene, Bafana recently announced him music came back and unveiled his new management, released new music, but it has not yet help to revive his struggling music career.
