Douglas Lwanga discloses reasons why nbs will keep poaching NTV presenters

The nbs After5 show host Douglas Lwanga has defended his Next media bosses from social media gossips who criticize them for over poaching of NTV Uganda’s presenters and news anchors.

Lwanga, also a former employee of Nation Media, dropped his NTV the Beat program for nbs TV in 2018, after landing a juicy deal, and he currently hosts nbs Ketchup show, and the after5 show alongside DVJ Mercy, DJ Roja and MC Kats.

During their evening show on Wednesday, the Purple Party CEO claimed that media is a free market place and journalists are allowed to move from one media house to another if they feel like.

“We are all looking for a green pastures and a conducive working environment, if I can get it somewhere, why not. After all media is a free market and we are all free to move from one media to another,” he said.

Lwanga made this statement after another former Ntv Uganda news anchor Hatma Nalugwa also crossed over to the Kamwokya based television to join the nbs Amasengejje team.

Lwanga and others such as Zahara Totto, Anatalia Ozzie, Anitah Fabiola, Solomon Serwanjja, Raymond Mujuni, Rukh-Shana Namuyimbwa, and Dean Lubowa Saava among others were all formerly NTV Uganda’s employees.

He noted that people should stop judging Next media bosses because all ‘poached’ journalists are grownups, and make decision when they want, not because they are forced.
